Train a Child Ministry held its youth camp on April 21-22, 2011. Children ages 12-17 attended the two-day camp. With the theme “Remember thy creator in the days of thy youth” on Ecclesiastes 12:1, the children enjoyed two days and a night away from home.

Registration started at 8:00 o’clock in the morning followed by a “Getting-to-know-you” activity to loosen their feet up. To start the day, the children had a brief talk about house rules and camp schedule. Activities included film showing and games in the afternoon. In the evening, they were enlightened by a message on becoming responsible youths and knowing the ways of remembering God by Atty. Zigfred Diaz. After dinner, they were all gathered together for a campfire, chanting songs, eating marshmallows on sticks, sharing good laughs and keeping the fire burning by just being together. Having a bonfire was one of the memorable experiences the children had that night.
Lights were turned off at ten in the evening since they had to get up early the following day for a devotional. The camp ended with a third session by Ms. Diaz. Although it was a short camping experience, the children had fun and were able to understand the meaning of having Jesus in their lives.
